We visit the village with no roads in the Netherlands — Giethoorn. This may just be the cutest village in the world, but it’s certainly one of the cutest villages in the Netherlands.

This video includes the TOP things to do in Giethoorn. Plus you’ll get to see what a peaceful morning in Giethoorn looks like with no tourists

How to get to Giethoorn:
Check 9292.nl (or their app) for the most up-to-date info.
We took the train from Amsterdam Centraal Station to Steenwijk Station, and got on bus 70 and got off at the Dominee Hylkemaweg (the driver usually lets people know that it’s the right stop). Hop off and go down the stairs to go under the bridge. DO NOT cross the street there.

You may have to transfer trains in Almere or Zwolle. It’s also possible to get to Steenwijk Station direct from Amsterdam Zuid Station which is easily accessible with the 52 Metro.

We went to:
Museum Giethoorn
Gloria Maris Schelpengalerie
Museum De Oude Aarde
Rhoda Pottery
Canal Cruise

We ate at:
Eethuis Giethoorn
Restaurant De Sloothaak
Venice Giethoorn (ice cream)

We stayed at Hotel De Pergola (would recommend!)
