Rotterdam has the oldest subway network in the Netherlands. Since its opening in 1968, the network has vastly expanded. Bored on a summer day and with the government’s green light to ride public transportation again, Thom decided to bike to Leidschendam and ride the entire network within a day. With his day pass in his pocket, he starts today by riding Line E and D, which have a very interesting history together. Find out what in this first part of the challenge.
