Welcome to the Corona Virus Chronicles… Tim is now self-isolating, and presenting his videos directly from his apartment, via a web link.

2001 – An Amsterdam Odyssey.

In 2001, Tim visited Amsterdam (in The Netherlands) and here are some of the fun things he returned with.

Tim starts with a WIF, or as he calls it, a ‘What’s It For’? A rubber tube with holes in it, some sort of filling inside. What can it be for? Will Tim reveal the answer before the end of the video?

An aluminium wire with a twist in it, and dozens of little rainbow coloured discs makes for a very attractive mobile. Tip it one way, and all the discs wobble their way down the spiral, tip the wire the other way and back they go. Wonderful.

Tim then demonstrates some silver chime balls, which make intriguing noises when you shake them. Very zen.

Tim then explains the function of the WIF. Watch the video to find out!

Finally, Tim demonstrates a range of postcards that are also animal masks. Very dramatic!
